The Voice Behind the Books
H. Blackwater never planned to become a novelist. He began by recording memories of growing up on Manhattan’s Lower East Side in the late 1950s and early ’60s. Then imagination took over, and those recollections became his first novel, Attorney Street.
His forthcoming science fiction thriller, The Artifact Box, draws on a fascination with the ancient world and the possibilities of the universe. Now retired, he divides his time among writing, painting, and gardening—with encouragement from his wife, four children, and six grandchildren.
