Attorney Street – H. Blackwater
I read your book Attorney Street. It was a good read. I appreciated how you framed it, by bringing the reader back to the beginning and making the ending a mystery. Good job!

Attorney Street is an excellent read! I really enjoyed not only the action, slice of life, and mystery elements, but also the sense of nostalgia for a time that shines through the author's emotional storytelling. A truly moving debut novella!

I started your book last night and I finished it last night. I could NOT put it down. It is so well written – one event smoothly slides into the next. Your style of writing is exceptional! This would make a GREAt movie. I loved the part about Banjo – the book certainly ended in an unpredictable way. WRITE ANOTHER ONE or a PART 2!!!!!

I just finished your book. Your talents are endless. Move over Robert Ludlum. There's a new writer on the scene. Please say your next book will be out soon.

Attorney Street is a beautifully written dive into the heart of Manhattan's Lower East Side during the 1950s and 60s. As an average reader, I loved how the characters felt real and relatable, especially Bat and his friends. The mix of youthful adventures and deeper mysteries kept me hooked. It's nostalgic, suspenseful, and a little bittersweet – definitely worth the read.

I picked up Attorney Street expecting a simple, but it turned out to be so much more. Blackwater's descriptions brought the neighborhood alive, and I felt like I was walking the streets with Bat and his crew. The combination of coming-of-age themes and a gripping murder mystery was unexpected but brilliant. I couldn't put it down! Highly recommend it for anyone who loves heartfelt, vivid storytelling.

I didn't set out to write the great American novel, nor any novel for that matter. I am simply a 79-year-old retiree, with a lot of spare time on my hands, which I try to fill with gardening and painting. Writing came to me quite by accident. You see, as many others do, I frequently take that trip down memory lane to a time far more innocent, and might I add, interesting than what I currently experience.
Living on the Lower Eastside of Manhattan during the late fifties through the early to mid-sixties, was, to quote Dickens "the best of times and the worst of times. I set out to write my memoirs for personal consumption. Then ideas began invading my thought processes. I simply let go, and let it write itself. I hope you enjoy reading Attorney Street as much as I enjoyed writing it.
A shout out to my family; my wife, four children and six grandchildren who inspire and encourage me.
